The Costume Store opened in September 2012, on the site that once housed the BBC’s costume collection. Owned by iQ Student Accommodation, the residence houses 730 students (mainly from the University of Arts London) arranged in four blocks rising to 17 storeys. This year Imperial will be occupying block C, a stand alone block with 172 ensuite bedrooms arranged in cluster style apartments.  The Costume Store is located right outside North Acton tube station and two minutes walk from Woodward Buildings (with easy access to the iGym and The Foundry bar/restaurant.).

As the local area is rapidly developing with a number of new buildings currently being constructed (including a new Imperial hall), there may be times when nearby construction sites can be a little noisy.
